The one consistent and universal symptom of everyone when traveling through the dark, shadowy places on this sometimes really hard journey called life is that when it starts getting really dark we isolate.
For some reason, there is security in not letting others know our struggles. We tell ourselves we are ok. Or, we know we are not and don't want others to know we are hurting. But, it also is a lonely and really destructive place.
The solitude, whether only in our mind or also physical, lies to us and tells us that there is something intrinsically wrong with us. No one understands. No one cares. No one loves us.
But, it isn't true. You are loved. You are not alone. There is hope.
Check out the stories and on-going blogs of some amazing people just like you. Life has not been easy. It isn't perfect even now. There are ups and downs. There are good days and bad days. But, each one is navigating a journey towards peace and recovery.
